Drake and Meek Mill's infamous feud, which started in 2015, is not over yet despite Rick Ross' efforts to make peace between the two rappers, TMZ reported late Thursday. The news comes just after Ross explained in a recent interview the real reason why he ended the Drake-Mill feud.

According to sources close to Drake and Mill, Ross believed that the rap war would be over once the Maybach Music Group MC cools things with the Canadian rapper. TMZ reported earlier Wednesday that Ross ended his beef with Drake as too much cash was involved as the feud continued.

A source close to Mill said that Nicki Minaj's ex-boyfriend is not willing to follow Ross in ending his differences with Drake because there has been way too much trash talk between them, including several diss tracks released.

The feud between Drake and Mill started in July 2016 when the Philadelphia rapper slammed Drake for using ghostwriters for his songs. As the feud heated up, the two rappers released songs dissing each other. While slamming Mill, Drake also took shot at Mill's then girlfriend Minaj, despite his liking towards the "Anaconda" singer.

During the feud between Drake and Mill, several other rappers took sides and Ross chose to support the latter, even though he did not want to get involved in it.

“We actually sat down,” Ross said in his recent interview with “Best Seat in the House” about ending his beef with Drake. “Shoutout to J. Prince. We wasn’t even discussing anything negative. By the time we get in the room, it’s so much other things going on, that it’s already, ‘Let’s get on some money.’ But I had to make sure we sat down to have some sort of understanding. Most definitely. It’s all about trying to touch nine figures. Anything going the other direction, you may get eaten.”

Ross and Drake got into a public spat following the Canadian rapper's feud with Mill. Ross — who discovered Mill —tried to play peacemaker between the two but later took shots at Drake.

“When Meek and Drake did begin to have slight differences, I’m pretty sure if Drake was with anybody else’s camp other than Cash Money, I may have been more vocal about it, but I seen it was the two little homies,” Ross said in his latest interview. “I seen what it was — and it was smooth. I ain’t trippin’.”

Before the Drake-Mill feud erupted, Ross collaborated with the "Back to Back" rapper for several tracks, including “I’m On One,” “Pop That,” “Fed Up,” “Aston Martin Music,” “No New Friends,” “Deuces (Remix),” “Lord Knows,” and “Stay Schemin.”

Despite the new report claiming about tensions between Mill and Drake, the two rappers have not publicly slammed each other for months, forcing fans to believe that the spat may have cooled down.

Late last year, Mill and his crew reportedly showed up outside the arena in Philadelphia where Drake was performing.
