On Tuesday night, Americans will get their first chance at seeing President Donald Trump and Democratic nominee Joe Biden go head-to-head in a debate, beginning at 9 p.m. EDT on several different channels. However, those who may want to take a step back from political coverage should be able to find plenty of other new things to watch instead.

With the debate scheduled to air on ABC, Bloomberg, CBS, CNN, C-SPAN, FOX, FOX News, MSNBC, NBC, PBS, Telemundo, Univision and Vice News channels, some may think they won’t have a chance to escape the likely contentious event between the two men running for President. While many channels will air the debate though, there are a number of different options when it comes to not only other programming in general but new programs as well.

If sports are your cup of tea, plenty of programming will be available to keep you away from politics. CBS Sports will be airing the UEFA Champions League: Playoff Match” coverage for those interested in soccer, while ESPN will be continuing their live coverage of Major League Baseball with coverage of the New York Yankees at the Cleveland Indians and ESPN2 will have continuing coverage of the Women's’ National Basketball Association game between the Connecticut Sun and Las Vegas Aces.

Showtime will also have a focus on sports at 9 p.m., airing Season 13, Episode 4 of “Inside the NFL,” featuring game highlights and expert analysis.

Of course, sports fans won’t be the only ones served by other programming. Check out a full schedule of other new things to watch below (all times EDT).
