Hallmark Channel is officially kicking off all things autumn with the premiere of their 2020 Fall Harvest event, starting with the first new film to debut, “Follow Me to Daisy Hills,” starring Cindy Busby and Marshall Williams.

Busby is certainly no stranger to Hallmark fans, having starred in several films for the network, including recent movies like “Romance in the Air” and “Love in the Forecast.” Other films include “Wedding March 5: My Boyfriend’s Back,” “Marrying Mr. Darcy,” “Royal Hearts,” “Unleashing Mr. Darcy” and the Hallmark Movies and Mysteries film, “A Godwink Christmas: Meant for Love.”

Williams is also likely recognizable to fans of the network, after his recent starring role in “Amazing Winter Romance” and his role as Sam Tremblay on “When Hope Calls.” Others may also recognize him from his role as Spencer Porter on the final season of “Glee.”

So what can fans expect when these two team up for the first official new film of the 2020 Fall Harvest season? As always, plenty of romance will be in store, as well as events that get viewers ready for the most colorful season of the year.

Jolene “Jo” Mason (Busby) works at her family’s locally owned shop, The Daisy Hills Store, but it has seen better days, which worries her father, Duke (Paul Essiembre). However, his solution is one that Jo won’t be pleased with.

“He calls in a favor with biz-whiz Blake (Williams), Jo’s high school sweetheart who up and moved to NYC to pursue his career, for which Jo never forgave him,” the synopsis reads. “Convinced he can help the Daisy Hills Store (and Jo), Blake heads back to his hometown.”

After she sees Blake again, Jo is furious, but eventually agrees to let Blake help when her dad convinces her he can help. However, as they get to work and find themselves disagreeing about almost everything, their former spark ignites once again, as they also start getting input from locals about ways they can improve the location.

“As they work Jo is pleasantly surprised. While the townsfolk provide invaluable feedback,” the synopsis continues. “Jo is heartened to see Blake rolling up his sleeves—she thought he’d forgotten how to do ‘real’ work.”

However, their old issues once again surface and threaten everything when Blake once again finds himself tempted by an opportunity in New York.

“Just as things start turning around for the former sweethearts, Blake gets a call about an interview for his dream job back in New York and decides to pursue it,” the synopsis reads. “When Duke tells Jo she’s furious that he’s deserted her again. Will history repeat itself or will one of them finally give in to see what true love really is?”

“Follow Me to Daisy Hills” premieres Saturday, Sept. 19 at 9 p.m. EDT on Hallmark Channel.
