Is The Game Still With Rebecca Silvera? Rapper Responds To Briona Mae Dating Rumors On Instagram

VH1’s “She’s Got Game” contestant Rebecca Silvera might have won the dating reality show, but whether or not she’s still with The Game is a different story. The rapper, whose real name is Jayceon Terrell Taylor, was smitten with Silvera, but their fling apparently ended with the reality show.

Silvera, a native of Kingston, Jamaica, sat down with VH1 for an exclusive interview Thursday and didn’t have the best news. “We did try and have a relationship after the show. It had its ups and downs, and it couldn’t work. It just wouldn’t work. We still talk from time to time. We spoke a little last night,” she said. “[We’re] trying to see if we can figure something out because I feel like what we did have was genuine.”

One of the reasons their relationship didn’t work out is because of the amount of time The Game, 35, spent in the studio recording music. “He was always busy and always working on his album,” she said. “It’s such a crazy lifestyle, and if you’re not accustomed to a lifestyle like that it’s just impossible to understand. He lives in the studio.”

One of the other contestants, Briona Mae, caused drama when she claimed on Instagram last week she and The Game were in a relationship. Silvera had a simple response: “Even though he may be sleeping with you, he did not choose you.”

Even though they’re not together now, Silvera is holding on to hope they can reconnect. But she isn’t sure if The Game will be able to change. “I would never say no, but a lot would have to change and I’m not sure that that’s an option for him right now,” she said.

When a fan accused The Game of picking Mae over Silvera on Instagram, the rapper lashed out. “Y’all must be dumb,” he wrote last week, as captured by The Shade Room. “Do [you] see any women on my page?”
