'Game Of Thrones' Season 6 Spoilers: Leaked Pictures Show First Stunt Scene By Maisie Williams
First few images of Maisie Williams performing a stunt scene for “Game of Thrones” Season 6 have leaked online. Meanwhile, a Spanish castle has been confirmed as the seat of House Tarly.
[Spoiler alert]
Pictures from the production set of the TV series in Girona posted on DiarideGirona show Williams (Arya Stark) with straps around her waist that were used to help her perform some stunts for a scene. The scene appears to show Arya making a jump in a medieval market place.
It is unclear whether the actress herself did the stunt or if a stunt double was used. The pictures show how ropes were used to help the actress jump high into the air. The pictures also show some of the crew members and extras standing nearby and watching Williams perform.
With Williams filming her scenes in Girona, the production sets in the city may depict Braavos in “Game of Thrones” Season 6. There are multiple new filming locations in Spain this time, and according to a report by LosSieteReinos, the Castell de Santa Florentina will depict the Horn Hill castle, which is the seat of House Tarly.
Production at this location is said to officially begin on Sept. 9, but filming will take place between the Sept. 12 and Sept. 14. The rooms in the castle that HBO is said to be interested in are the Great Hall, the King’s Hall and a Royal room that has a fireplace and furniture with mirrors.
The report speculates that the new cast member Ian McShane may be playing Randyll Tarly in the next season. Randyll is the father of Samwell Tarly (John Bradley). According to a report by EntertainmentWeekly, Freddie Stroma has been cast as Samwell’s younger brother Dickon Tarly in the next season.
Stroma is known for his role in the TV series “UnReal” and has also been a cast member in movies like “Pitch Perfect 2” and “Extraterrestrial.” The casting of the actor as Dickon, and Horn Hill being featured in “Game of Thrones” Season 6 suggests that House Tarly may play a major role when the story continues next year.
