"Genshin Impact" has achieved phenomenal success in the gaming industry and it seems the game's developer is wasting no time to release updates in order to offer fresh content to its player base. Surprisingly, the incoming "All That Glitters" version 1.3 is available for pre-load even though it is scheduled to go live on Wednesday.

How to pre-load Update 1.3 on PC

For "Genshin Impact" players using PC, preloading Update 1.3 is easy. They have to first boot up the game's launcher and click the Game Pre-Installation button, which is located on the left side of the Launch button, to be able to download the new game resources.

PC players can still play "Genshin Impact" while downloading Update 1.3 pre-load files. Also, when miHoyo officially rolls out the game's new version on Feb. 3, PC players who have pre-loaded the version will receive a launcher option to update. They should just click on it to install the files without the need to download them. In case the launcher closes before the pre-installation is finished, players can continue downloading from where the progress ended the next time they run the launcher.

How to pre-load Update 1.3 on mobile devices

Unlike in PC, "Genshin Impact" players on iOS or Android devices would not be able to play the game while installing the update files. Users can pre-load the latest version of the game by going to the Paimon Menu — Settings — Other option and then find the Pre-Install Resource. Another method is by hitting the Pre-Install Resource Package icon located on the lower-left corner of the LogIn Menu.

These are only pre-load files, which means when Update 1.3 finally arrives, iOS users must go to the App Store and click the update button. For Android users, they will receive on-screen instructions on how to do it when they launch the game. They can also update through Google Play Store.
