  • Hu Tao is currently featured character in "Genshin Impact"
  • 4-star catalyst wielding character Yaoyao would be first-ever Dendro character to launch: Leak
  • If accurate, "Genshin Impact" players could get their hands on a Dendro character next month

A lot of new playable characters are scheduled to arrive in "Genshin Impact" based on miHoYo's previous statements. Earlier, fans saw the launch of Hu Tao in the game, and rumors have it that Rosaria might arrive in the game through Update 1.4.

Interestingly, a new leak surfaced online claiming that "Genshin Impact's" first Dendro character could be Xiangling's junior disciple YaoYao and might be featured in a banner in Update 1.5.

The latest piece of information about "Genshin Impact" comes from Twitter user M1NTSUBA. The insider is confident about his information since his source is a reliable Chinese industry insider who was proven correct on their leaks about the Albedo banner, Dragonspine, Ganyu, Xiao banner, and Lantern Rite, among others. Based on the leak, the four-star catalyst wielding character Yaoyao would be the first-ever Dendro character to launch in the game.

Apparently, she would be available to players in the same manner that Barbara, Amber, Lisa, and Kaeya were introduced. Yaoyao will be obtainable through quests just like all other free-to-play characters in the game. This actually makes sense since "Genshin Impact" provides a free character for each element.

As for Yaoyao's arrival in the game, she might arrive through Update 1.5, which is reportedly launching sometime in the latter part of April. This is based on the six weeks update schedule miHoYo announced earlier. Yaoyao was one of the characters uncovered through data mining in November last year.

Based on her leaked model, she would be a catalyst weapon user. In other words, she could apply Demndro elements through her normal attacks. Of the seven elements in "Genshin Impact," only the Dendro is not attached to the character. It could be one of the reasons why the game has not yet introduced a Dendro character.

However, fans should temper their expectations and take this leak with a pinch of salt. Like other leaks, this one is not official, and as of press time, miHoYo has not said anything about the launch of a Dendro character in "Genshin Impact."

"Genshin Impact" is available on PC, PlayStation 4, iOS, and Android devices.
