  • "Genshin Impact" might introduce a new world boss soon
  • Leaks revealed upcoming characters arriving in the game shortly
  • MiHoYo has not yet said anything about the next "Genshin Impact" update

A new powerful boss is reportedly coming to "Genshin Impact" very soon based on the recent discovery by dataminers on the game's data.

Details about the possible arrival of the new world boss Electro Regisvine was shared on Twitter by an industry insider who goes by the name Project Celestia. According to them, details about the said boss were added to the game's data.

The information may have confirmed the great possibility of the new boss' arrival to the hit the gacha game. However, the insider clarified that fans should not expect the Electro Regisvine to be available in Update 2.5.

"[BETA] Electro Regisvine. Some data mentioning Electro Regisvine were accidentally added to game data, which would indicate its upcoming release soon (NOT Version 2.5)," the tweet says. The new world boss will be added to the game for a new Electro character who will use its materials for ascension.

This leak is good news to players, especially those with Cryo mains. However, this seemed to confuse several others. It looks world bosses in "Genshin Impact" will now drop materials for just a couple of characters-a trend which started when the Inazuma region was rolled out to the game.

Earlier leaks suggested that "Genshin Impact" Update 2.6 will introduce Kuki Shinobu, Yelan, Heizou and Ayato. Many assumed that Ayato is a Hydro character and if the leak about the Electro Regisvine is accurate, it appears that the world boss will drop materials for the four-star character, Heizou.

So far, it is almost confirmed that Yae Miko is the next Electro-character that Chinese gaming studio MiHoYo will introduce in the game via Update 2.5. In fact, industry insiders have leaked almost everything about the Electro-Catalyst character, including her kit.

Early on, dataminers thought Yae Miko is weak, but it looks like MiHoYo buffed her continously over the past months. It is worth noting that these leaks about Yae Miko, the Electro Regisvine, and other characters, while interesting, are not yet official.

MiHoYo has not yet said anything about Update 2.5 or any other incoming game's build. At this point, fans should temper their expectations and tke the latest set of leaks as highly speculative.
