  • Thoma is an upcoming "Genshin Impact" character
  • He was introduced during the recent "Genshin Impact" 2.0 live stream
  • Thoma might not become a playable character in "Genshin Impact" Update 2.0

Thoma is an upcoming character in "Genshin Impact" who was introduced at miHoYo's latest Special Program. But there is little information revealed about him aside from his ties with Ayaka Kamisato.

Here are some details about Thoma, including his story, element, release date and weapon.

"Genshin Impact" 2.0 Special Program confirmed that the character's official name is Thoma, not Tohama, Touma or Tohma. Previous leaks suggested that Thoma is a Pyro vision holder, whose weapon of choice is a Polearm. This is seemingly confirmed at the latest event.

In the "Genshin Impact" 2.0 trailer, titled "The Immovable God and the Eternal Euthymia," fans noticed a red gem on the character's hip just right under his hands. The red gem apparently symbolizes Pyro vision. It is believed that Thoma is the Chief Retainer of the Kamisato Clan.

Based on the various voice lines of Ayaka, it appears that she has a close connection with Thoma. In one of the voice lines, she asks Thoma to fetch her umbrella. In another instance, Ayaka describes the upcoming character as a dear friend who always lifts her spirits with his sunny disposition.

Some fans believe Ayaka and Thoma are romantically involved. But, it seems that is not the case. In one of Ayaka's voice lines, she says that she thinks of Thoma as a brother and a full member of the Kamisato Clan.

During the "Genshin Impact" 2.0 live stream, miHoYo revealed that Thoma will have blonde hair. Inazuma is a Japanese-inspired nation and it's strange for a character in that region to have blonde hair. Some believe Thoma is an immigrant from Mondstadt or other countries.

miHoYo has not yet revealed when it is planning to launch Thoma as a playable character in the hit gacha game. Thoma, who hails from Inazuma, the upcoming nation, is less likely to become a playable character in Update 2.0. Rumors have it that Thoma might arrive in the game in Update 2.1 at the earliest.
