Olson is expected to work to bolster the search company’s existing VR properties at Google, but at the moment, the company is maintaining a relatively low profile with its Daydream VR mobile headset. However, Google has made similar moves for creative and unconventional VR titles before. One of the company’s more popular titles is Tilt Brush, which lets users paint and create drawing in a three-dimensional environment.
