  • Doja Cat made a hilarious bet with her friends over the Grammys

The list of nominees for the 2021 Grammy Awards has just been released, and several big artists have received nods for the first time, including BTS, Harry Styles and Megan Thee Stallion.

On Tuesday, BTS fans were ecstatic after the group from South Korea was nominated for their hit song, "Dynamite," in the 63rd annual Grammy Awards. The all-English single was the K-pop band's first-ever Billboard Hot 100 no. 1 and paved the way for a Grammy nod for best pop duo/group performance.

Styles became the first One Direction member to score a Grammy nomination, receiving nods in three categories. Styles' sophomore album "Fine Line" is up for best pop vocal album. His single "Watermelon Sugar" is nominated for best pop solo performance, while "Adore You" got a nod for best music video.

Meanwhile, Megan Thee Stallion has a chance to win best new artist and record of the year. The "WAP" rapper is also nominated for the best rap song and best rap performance.

Megan will be competing against fellow first-time Grammy nominee, indie-folk sensation Phoebe Bridgers, for best new artist after the latter scored nods for her second album, “Punisher.” Bridgers is also up for best rock performance and best alternative music album.

Haitian-Canadian DJ Kaytranada received nominations for his album “Bubba" and single “10%” featuring Kali Uchis.

Meanwhile, Miley Cyrus' younger sister, Noah Cyrus, was overjoyed after learning that she bagged a Grammy nomination for best new artist. In a clip she shared on Instagram, the younger Cyrus cried while talking to her dad on the phone.

"I still can’t believe this is a real post. If you swipe over one that’s me sobbing to my dad while he asks me if I “shat in my breeches” when hearing I was nominated lolol," she wrote in the caption.

Doja Cat also scored two nominations — record of the year for "Say So" and best new artist. Before the list of nominees was announced, she made a hilarious bet with her friends regarding whether or not she will secure a nod.

"To see an award come out, if it's the Grammys, one [of] my friends has to get a tattoo of name...My DJ from day one has to get a tattoo right on his a-- cheek…I'm really excited if that does happen," she was quoted by E! News as saying.

Meanwhile, Tiffany Haddish and Bill Burr also landed their first-ever Grammy nominations, the former for "Black Mitzvah" and the latter for "Paper Tiger." The two will compete in the best comedy album category.
