Greek Captain Kostas Katsouranis Ejected On Questionable Red Card
Supporters of the Greek national team were angered Thursday evening when team captain Kostas Katsouranis was ejected on a questionable red card call during the team's World Cup match against Japan.
The second yellow card call on Katsouranis was hotly contested by Greece fans who thought it was unfair, but the captain went out early despite their protestations.
Red cards in the 2014 World Cup have been a team-killer so far, according to ESPN.
"It's the 5th red card of this #WorldCup, and teams who have suffered them have been outscored 8-0 afterward," the network reported.
On Twitter, the reaction to the red card call was both swift and angry from most supporters of Greece and other teams:
Seriously, where is the red card, yellow even!! Uruguay have fouled over and over!!

I don’t really care if Japan or Greece wins, but kinda feel bad for Greece after watching the replay of that red card, so i’ll pull for them
