KEY POINTS

  • "GTA 6" is one of the most anticipated but unconfirmed titles
  • Until now, Rockstar Games has not confirmed that it is in development
  • An insider claims that "GTA 6" would be set in various locations

Rockstar Games has not announced any title for the market nor has it confirmed that "GTA 6" is in development. However, this does not stop fans from uncovering details or insiders from revealing information about the highly anticipated title. The latest claim reveals the setting and potential announcement of the game.

An insider who claimed to have worked with Rockstar Games in some kind of a "coordinating capacity" recently shared several interesting tidbits about "GTA 6" on 4Chan. The post on the message board does not specifically indicate the announcement date of the game. However, it claims that "the news wire art is already finished and ready."

Screenrant speculates that this could mean that Rockstar Games could be preparing for the "GTA 6" announcement happening as early as this year. According to the site, " Press release information and assets would be one of the last things to be drafted after a reveal trailer is completed." Unfortunately, even if the gaming studio announces the game, it does not mean that fans could get their hands on it anytime soon.

The insider also mentioned that "GTA 6" would be set in various locations and noted that it would feature five adjoining cities across five states. The game would also have a sixth metropolis, which is not adjacent to the others. The rest of the five cities should be obvious, the Rockstar insider teased.

This claim seemingly backs the Project Americas rumor, which claimed that the next iteration would be set in various locations. This includes the game's version of the U.S, Latin America or the Caribbean. Earlier, another industry insider, Tom Henderson commented about Project America. He said that 80% of these rumors are smoke and mirrors.

This could mean that at least 20% of what it claims is correct in any capacity. Unfortunately, the 4Chan post does not offer any concrete evidence to support the claims. Like all other rumors, fans should temper their expectations and take this latest information with a hefty amount of salt. "GTA 6" is one of the heavily rumored unconfirmed titles.
