'GTA Online' Cayo Perico Heist Guide: Where To Find The Combat Shotgun

Rockstar Games released “GTA Online” more than seven years ago, but it is relevant and among popular titles in the industry because of its ongoing updates.

This year, the beloved game received one of its biggest and most ambitious update that introduced the Cayo Perico Heist. The new content features a lot of weapons, including the most coveted Combat Shotgun.

What is The Combat Shogun

This weapon is a staple in “Grand Theft Auto” titles, but has not been available since “GTA 4.” Fortunately, the Cayo Perico Heist in “GTA Online” allows players to get their hands on this iconic weapon after more than a decade. Unlike other weapons, the Combat Shotgun is not dropped by killed enemies.

Instead, it spawns at random locations around Cayo Perico, which makes it difficult to find if players do not know where to look. This particular “GTA Online” weapon is best used at close range. It features a six-shell limit with higher damage and fire rate, making it stand out from the Assault or Pump Shotguns.

“GTA Online” players can buy the Combat Shotgun at the in-game store called Ammu-nation gun stores for $295,000. There are also available customizations that players could tinker with to make the weapon more attractive. This includes a suppressor, a flashlight and different tints.

How To Get The Combat Shotgun

Players must first begin the Cayo Perico heist to be able to travel to the island. This includes completing the first several steps of the heist to explore El Rubio’s mansion. Before the heist’s finale, players could find the Combat Shotgun leaning in one of the walls or in one of the compound’s surfaces. Usually, players find it in the southern area of the compound.
