Houston Texans vs Jacksonville Jaguars: Houston Tries to Sweep Jaguars in AFC South Showdown
Looking to build on their AFC best 8-1 record, the Houston Texans matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars Sunday at Reliant Stadium.
The Texans proved they are capable of a grind out victory in Week 10, dropping the Chicago Bears 13-6 behind running back Arian Foster’s 102 yards and score on 29 carries.
Houston overcame two interceptions by quarterback Matt Schaub, who only threw for 95 yards, but connected with Foster for a two yard touchdown. The last time Schuab thew two picks, the Texans suffered their only loss of the season to Green Bay.
While the Texans defense became the first team to keep Chicago out of the end zone this year.
Foster should have a field day against Jacksonville and their 29 th ranked rushing defense, allowing 137.4 yards per game.
The Jaguars lost their sixth straight game last week, falling to Andrew Luck and the Indianapolis Colts 27-10. Jacksonville managed just 37 rushing yards, and gave up 138 yards and two rushing touchdowns by Luck.
Cecil Shorts scored the Jaguars only touchdown off a four yard pass from quarterback Chad Henne, who came in after starter Blaine Gabbert went down with a shoulder injury.
Gabbert went 18-for-31 for 209 yards and a pick before the injury, but practiced this week and is expected to start.
