How Did Oscar Taveras Die? Cardinals Teammates Remember Outfielder After He Was Killed At 22

St. Louis Cardinals slugger Oscar Taveras and his girlfriend died in a car accident in the Dominican Republic, Yahoo Sports reported Sunday. He was 22.
Details of the crash were sketchy. He was headed from Jameo to his hometown of Sosua, near Puerto Plata on the Atlantic Coast, USA Today reported.
"We're still investigating at the scene. We've had some heavy rainfall here lately. It might have contributed to the accident,” Lt. Junior Lopez Reyes of the Puerto Plata said, according to USA Today.
Twitter user @LigaDomcom shared an alleged photo of the crash. It shows a mangled red 2014 Camaro.
