ABC’s “How To Get Away With Murder” crossed off one person who could be under the sheet. Connor Walsh was busy pleasing Oliver’s latest crush, Thomas, while Annalise Keating’s house was set on fire. This leaves Nate and Frank as the only two people who could have been trapped in the fire.

“How To Get Away With Murder” will air its Season 3 winter/mid-season finale next week. Here are three things we know about episode 9, suitably titled “Who’s Dead”:

1. We Will Find Out Who Is Under The Sheet

The promo of the upcoming episode clearly states that we will finally find out the identity of the person under the sheet. Frank (Charlie Weber) seems to be the obvious choice since he was seen pointing a gun to his chin at the end of episode 8, but “HTGAWM” rarely takes the conventional route.

The official synopsis reveals that viewers are going to see all the events that led up to the deadly house fire which led to Annalise’s (Viola Davis) arrest. Hopefully, we will learn the reason behind Wes’ (Alfred Enoch) shocking betrayal.

2. Frank Doesn’t Really Want To Kill Himself

Although it looks like Frank wants to suicide and has given up on life, Weber explained to TVLine that Annalise was right in calling his bluff. “Well, it’s definitely a ploy. He wants her to stop him. He wants her to want him to live. But he is willing to [kill himself].” He further explained, “With Frank, you’re definitely seeing an emotionally stunted person falling back into horrible times that he’s experienced. But this is ten-fold. He found a place and a purpose — and now he has nothing. And he will do whatever it takes to get that back.”

Frank is willing to kill himself for Annalise, but he certainly doesn’t want to die.

3. Annalise And Nate Have A Heated Confrontation

The official synopsis of the Season 3 fall finale states that Annalise will receive a tip about Nate’s (Billy Brown) girlfriend A.D.A. Atwood (Milauna Jackson). This will lead Annalise to have a heated confrontation with her former boyfriend. Is Nate #UnderTheSheet?

Weber teased about the big reveal to Variety. “As always with something this big, I can only say that it’s rough and very sad.”

“HTGAWM” Season 3, episode 9, also the mid-season finale, premieres on Thursday, Nov. 17 at 10 p.m. EST on ABC.
