Former “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” star Mama June Shannon looks nothing like the way the public remembers her and she’s more than happy about that. The formerly overweight Georgia mother dropped scores of pounds, though she wouldn’t reveal exactly how much weight she lost during a Feb. 16 interview with Too Fab.

Her weight loss journey was documented by the WEtv show “Mama June: From Not To Hot.” She won’t show her new appearance until the end of the series. In the beginning of the series, Shannon weighed 460 pounds. She can now reportedly fit into a size 4 dress, though that has not been confirmed.

To help get healthy, Shannon underwent gastric sleeve surgery. “I've not had any complications. I'd definitely recommend it,” she said about the procedure. “Before you have any skin removal surgery done, it is recommended you do have some kind of gastric, whether its the lap band or the gastric sleeve, but I've had no complications with any of my surgeries. I've actually had a pretty good recovery, the doctors are surprised I've not been in as much pain and I've recovered very easily.”

One of the things that was hardest about her weight loss was having her family follow her new diet. “I'm trying to cook healthy, but when you got teenage kids, they're going to not wanna eat everything you want to cook that's healthy. But they're trying,” she said about daughters Alana and Pumpkin. “[They] still live at home and they've been, 'OK mama we support you, but we don't want to eat all of your healthy stuff all the time!'”

During Friday’s episode, Alana told Shannon’s doctor that she didn’t want to eat healthy because she liked her full figure.

“Like, I have no idea what this man's talking about,” Alana told the cameras. “Mama's on this diet, but I'm not, boo boo. I like my curves. … I mean, seriously, this dude is really crazy.” She added: “I'm not jumping on any bandwagon, unless it has cheeseburgers and stuff.”
