It’s no secret that the winner of “Dancing With the Stars” takes home a Mirrorball trophy after receiving their title as champion, but what some fans may not realize is that they also take home some money in addition to that coveted prize.

However, the Season 29 winners—either Justina Machado and Sasha Farber, Nev Schulman and Jenna Johnson, Kaitlyn Bristowe and Artem Chigvintsev or Nelly and Daniella Karagach—aren't actually going to be taking home money in the form of a cash prize. On the contrary, the money they walk away with will be the paycheck they get for doing the show and making it as far as they did—and all four celebrities are receiving an equal payday.

The ABC reality competition series gave a pay cut to its celebrities in Season 28, starting them all off with a standard signing bonus of $125,000, with all the finalists earning the same amount at the end of $295,000. The amount each celebrity makes is likely still on a sliding scale depending on how far they make it in the competition.

Back in 2010, Gawker revealed the sliding scale at the time consisted of a $10,000 payday for each celeb in the first two episodes, increasing to $20,000 after week three. The amount then increased to $30,000 until the final two episodes, where celebs competing would earn $50,000. That led to the finalists making an estimated $345K total at the end of the season.

If the celebrities were still receiving a $295,000 paycheck, that would mean that regardless of who places what, all four remaining competitors will see that amount now that the competition is coming to an end.

The “Dancing With the Stars” Season 29 finale airs at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
