“Fear the Walking Dead” fans are getting another web series. AMC announced that ahead of the Season 3 premiere, it would be airing new webisodes titled “Fear the Walking Dead: Passage.”

The 16-part series will follow Sierra (Kelsey Scott), who agrees to help an injured woman named Gabi (Mishel Prada). The two apparently strike a deal that if Sierra helps Gabi and keeps her safe, Gabi will take her to an apocalyptic sanctuary. A press release teased that Sierra and Gabi’s journey will be full of ups and down and they will “face many dangers and learn what they need to survive.”

Just like with AMC’s previous “Fear the Walking” web series, new episodes of “Passage” will debut every Sunday on AMC.com as well as on Apple TV, Roku and other AMC digital platforms. The webisodes will also air a short promo during one of the commercial breaks for Season 7 of “The Walking Dead.” The “Passage” episodes will lead up to Season 3 of “Fear the Walking Dead.”

The first webisode of “Passage” is already available for fans to check out. AMC released the short episode online already, and will also air it during the Season 7 premiere of “The Walking Dead” on Sunday, Oct. 23. In the video, a woman — presumably Sierra — is seen wearing a gas mask and a chemical suit as she walks through what looks like a deserted army base. Suddenly, the woman in the chemical suit spots another woman running, but when she turns to see where the stranger went, she finds zombies approaching. The chemical suit wearing woman kills the zombies, and the video ends before fans can see what happens next.

During Season 6 of “The Walking Dead” and ahead of the Season 2 premiere of “Fear the Walking Dead,” AMC aired the webisode “Fear the Walking Dead: Flight 462.” The web series took place on a plane as a group of people realized that one of the passengers was infected with the zombie virus. “Flight 462” ended with the plane making a crash landing and the two main characters, Charlie (Michelle Ang) and Jake (Brendan Meyer) surviving.

Both Jake, who had been badly burned from the crash, and Jake were incorporated in Season 2 of “Fear the Walking Dead” but Jake died after Strand (Colman Domingo) refused to let him and Charlie on his yacht.

“The Walking Dead” Season 7 premieres Sunday, Oct. 23 at 9 p.m. EDT on AMC.
