Ivanka Trump came to the defense of former first daughter Malia Obama Friday on Twitter after multiple reports appeared in the news detailing the eldest Obama daughter’s life in college.

“Malia Obama should be allowed the same privacy as her school aged peers,” Trump wrote. “She is a young adult and private citizen, and should be OFF limits.”

Nineteen-year-old Malia Obama, who attends Harvard University, has been the subject of numerous headlines recently. Ivanka Trump’s tweeted appeared to be in response to such widespread coverage. Reports regarding Malia's romantic life surfaced after TMZ published an article about her apparently kissing a man who was later identified as Rory Farquharson, the son of a British investment banker.

A video also went viral recently that appeared to show Malia Obama blowing smoke rings. The clip, posted by Barstool Sports and captioned “F—— get your camera right now,” was later deleted but continued making the rounds online.

The former first daughter is no stranger to probing news coverage. TMZ published yet another video in August that reported to show Malia Obama “out of it” and being carried out of the music festival Lollapalooza. Another first daughter, Chelsea Clinton, also came to Malia Obama’s defense Friday soon after Ivanka Trump did.

“Malia Obama’s private life, as a young woman, a college student, a private citizen, should not be your clickbait,” she wrote on Twitter. “Be better.”

Clinton also defended Malia earlier this month after fake reports appeared on the internet stating that the FBI wanted to question Malia regarding her time interning for the Weinstein Company.

“Loathsome,” she wrote. “Just loathsome. Please leave Malia alone to lead her own life & keep her out of your (shameful) agenda.”

Numerous others on social media also asked for the former first daughter to be left alone.
