Philanthropist MacKenzie Scott, the ex-wife of Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, announced on Tuesday that she and her husband Dan Jewett would donate another $2.74 billion to charity.

Scott, who divorced Bezos in 2019, announced in a blog post that she would donate "$2,739,000,000 in gifts to 286 high-impact organizations in categories and communities that have been historically underfunded and overlooked."

Scott, who has already donated $8.5 billion, has an estimated net worth of $59.8 billion after her divorce. Scott and Jewett, a Seattle science teacher, got married in March.

"Me, Dan, a constellation of researchers and administrators and advisors — we are all attempting to give away a fortune that was enabled by systems in need of change," the blog reads.

“In this effort, we are governed by a humbling belief that it would be better if disproportionate wealth were not concentrated in a small number of hands and that the solutions are best designed and implemented by others.”

Scott noted that they "prioritized organizations with local teams, leaders of color, and a specific focus on empowering women and girls."

Some of the organizations that received donations included the Apollo Theaters, The Interaction Institute for Social Change, NGOsource, and several two-year and four-year educational institutions.

Scott, 51, has emerged as one of the world's most generous philanthropists. The latest round of donations comes after Scott announced in December that she donated $4.2 billion to hundreds of organizations.
