Jeffree Star and his friend Daniel Lucas were hospitalized after a "severe" car crash Friday, the cosmetics mogul said.

Fans were given an update via Star's Twitter on the YouTube personality and Lucas' condition following the accident.

"A few hours ago Jeffree and Daniel were in a severe car accident and the car flipped 3 times after hitting black ice [broken heart emoji]," the tweet read. "We will update you all when the doctor gives us more info. So thankful they are both alive."

The post included a photo of the 35-year-old beauty guru in a neck brace and lying in a hospital bed, with his friend sat next to him, holding his hand.

A spokesperson for the Wyoming Highway Patrol told NBC News that they received a report of a single car rollover involving a Rolls Royce around 8:30 a.m. east of Casper.

Star was driving the car at the time of the crash, the spokesperson said. Preliminary investigation by the Wyoming Highway Patrol suggested that icy conditions could be the reason for the accident.

"No drugs or alcohol were involved or are being investigated at this time," added the spokesperson, who confirmed that the investigation into the accident is ongoing.

Star's fans and peers immediately wished him and Lucas a speedy recovery on Twitter.

"Omg!!! This is so so horrible and I’m so sorry. I really hope you’re both okay :’( Praying for you guys and sending all my love," Eugenia Cooney commented.

"This really is hitting me hard cause it’s like I just watched his story a couple hours ago and then I see this. you never know what life can do. Please love each other," another person wrote.

"Sorry to hear that I’ll be praying for both of them to have a wonderful recovery," a third user added.

"Wishing you both a speedy recovery," a fourth user commented.

"Stay Strong !!!!! This is so scary damm not jeffree. Sending you prayers love and light," a fifth netizen wrote.

Fans also came to Star’s defense after some suggested the YouTuber may be pulling a stunt for clout.

"For all of the people that want to say that it is a stunt you really need to get a life. Jeffree wouldn't joke about something like that. He loves his fans and he would never make us feel upset or worried about him for attention," one wrote.

"Whether you support Jeffree or not these replies are absolutely vile. You should all be ashamed of yourselves for wishing harm upon them. Wishing you both a speedy recovery!" another added.
