Jennifer Lopez is opening up about blending families with Ben Affleck after their wedding last year.

During an interview on "Today" Monday, the "Shotgun Wedding" actress, 53, talked about the "emotional transition" as she and co-star Josh Duhamel promoted their new movie.

"We moved in together. The kids moved in together," Lopez shared. "It's been, like, a really kind of emotional transition, but at the same time all your dreams coming true."

She added that 2022 was a "phenomenal year" for her, describing it as her "best year I think since my kids were born."

Lopez shares 14-year-old twins Max and Emme with ex-husband Marc Anthony. Affleck shares three kids with ex-wife Jennifer Garner — Violet, 17, Seraphina, 14, and Samuel, 10.

Affleck and Lopez rekindled their romance in the spring of 2021, shortly after she called off her engagement to Alex Rodriguez.

Their reconciliation came nearly two decades after they broke up in 2004. The "Let's Get Loud" songstress called the "Argo" star the "biggest heartbreak of my life."

"Once we called off that wedding 20 years ago, it was the biggest heartbreak of my life, and I honestly felt like I was going to die," Lopez told Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1 in November 2022 while discussing her album "This Is Me...Then," which features the song "Dear Ben."

Affleck and Lopez got engaged for the second time in April 2022. They exchanged "I do's" three months later during a private wedding ceremony in Las Vegas. They tied the knot again in front of their family and friends in his home in Georgia in August last year.

When they first reconnected in 2021, Lopez and Affleck began talking and seeing each other at their respective houses. She admitted that they weren't ready to go public at the time.

"Obviously, we weren't trying to go out in public," the "Marry Me" star told Vogue in November 2022. "But I never shied away from the fact that for me, I always felt like there was a real love there, a true love there. People in my life know that he was a very, very special person in my life. When we reconnected, those feelings for me were still very real."

In the same interview, she praised Affleck's ex-wife for being an "amazing co-parent." Lopez said Affleck and Garner work "really well" together as they raise three kids.

"The transition is a process that needs to be handled with so much care," Lopez said of blending families with Affleck. "They have so many feelings. They're teens. But it's going really well so far. What I hope to cultivate with our family is that his kids have a new ally in me and my kids have a new ally in him, someone who really loves and cares about them but can have a different perspective and help me see things that I can't see with my kids because I'm so emotionally tied up."
