Jimmy Kimmel made jokes about President Donald Trump’s infamous Twitter rants at different times during the 89th Annual Academy Awards, but he took it a step further two hours into the show Sunday night. The host of the 2017 Oscars tweeted at Trump on stage at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California.

After noting that Trump had yet to tweet about the Oscars, Kimmel decided to take matters into his own hands, tweeting at the president. He then sent a second tweet, both of which quickly got thousands of likes and retweets.

Just 20 minutes after being sent, the two tweets amassed more than 300,000 total retweets. Kimmel isn’t the first host to utilize twitter live during the Academy Awards. Ellen Degeneres tweeted a selfie with several other celebrities in 2014 that has more than 3.2 million retweets and 2.2 million likes.
