The Cleveland Browns are expected to trade Josh Gordon by Monday afternoon. The team announced Saturday that they would be parting ways with the wide receiver, and nearly a third of the league has contacted the organization about making a deal, according to ESPN’s Josina Anderson.

Where will Gordon wind up? A number of teams make sense.

According to the latest betting odds, the New England Patriots and Dallas Cowboys are the leading candidates to complete a deal with Cleveland. Both teams are off to 1-1 starts and could use some help at wide receiver.

Wide receiver has been Dallas’ glaring weakness through two weeks. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported Monday that the Cowboys might be at the top of Gordon’s preferred list, though a trade to Dallas might not be likely.

Gordon isn’t the only wide receiver that’s been linked to New England. There have been rumors that the team could sign Dez Bryant, who remains a free agent after being cut by the Cowboys in the offseason. The Patriots will get Julian Edelman back from his four-game suspension in a few weeks.

The San Francisco 49ers have better than 3/1 odds to acquire Gordon. Rapoport named them as a possible landing spot for the former All-Pro. Jimmy Garoppolo could certainly use another weapon as the team looks for their first playoff appearance in five years. Marquise Goodwin was San Francisco’s leading receiver a season ago, but he has no catches in 2018 because of a quad injury.

Jacksonville would be another logical destination. Wide receiver Marqise Lee was lost for the year in the preseason with a knee injury. The Jaguars don’t have a proven No.1 receiver, though Blake Bortles didn’t appear to need one in the team’s victory over the Patriots in Week 2. Second-year receiver Keelan Cole led the way with seven catches for 116 yards.

Gordon led the NFL with 1,646 receiving yards in 2013 when he played just 14 games. He’s since played in just 11 total games, largely because of suspensions for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy.

Gordon had 18 catches for 335 yards in five games last year. He caught one pass for 17 yards and a touchdown in Week 1. A hamstring injury would’ve kept Gordon off the field in Week 2 if Cleveland didn’t decide to part ways with him, though the injury likely isn’t serious.
