Kalpana Raghavendra from Chennai won Idea Star Singer Season 5, a popular reality music programme on Malayalam TV channel Asianet.

Kalpana gets a villa worth Rs 1 crore as prize.

Mridula Varier came second while Immanuel Henry won the third prize.

Antony John, who came fourth, got a special prize instituted by superstar Mohanlal.

The grand finale of the programme was held at the Chandrasekharan Nair Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram on Saturday.

Season 5 of the reality show started in August 2010 with 39 contestants. It covered 14 stages before the grand finale.
