Kamala Harris has revealed that she looked up husband Doug Emhoff online before their first date in 2013.

In a new interview with Jane Pauley of CBS News' "Sunday Morning," the vice president-elect and her husband, who tied the knot in 2014, revisited the early days of their romance. During their chat, Harris shared that a friend had suggested the blind date with Emhoff, which prompted Pauley to chime in, "You totally Googled him, didn't you?"

"I did!" Harris responded with a laugh, while Emhoff quipped, "Oh. This is a reveal!"

Harris said that no one has asked her about it before and freely shared her conversation with her best friend who set her up with Emhoff, a Los Angeles entertainment lawyer.

"So yes, my best friend set us up on a blind date. And she said, 'Just trust me. Just trust me.' You know, she wanted me to just kind of go into it, and she said, 'Don't Google him.' I did!" she recalled.

Harris shared the clip of their interview on Twitter Sunday, tagging her husband. "Thankfully Google didn't scare me away," she wrote.

During the interview, Emhoff also revealed that he was at a Los Angeles Lakers game with a friend when he decided to send a text to Harris. He then called her the next morning.

"I left this ridiculous voicemail, which she has saved and plays back to me on our anniversary every year," he recalled. "I thought I'd never hear from her again."

However, Harris, who was California's attorney general at the time, thought it was "adorable" and praised him for being "fully authentic and clear about the things he cares about."

Harris also recently recognized the importance of having Emhoff around as she prepares for her new role as vice president.

"And as I transition into the White House, I’m blessed to have Doug by my side. We were set up on a blind date in 2013, and it was practically love at first sight. It felt like we had known each other forever. We were married a year later in a ceremony officiated by my sister Maya," she wrote on Instagram over the weekend.

Meanwhile, Harris' past romance with TV host Montel Williams resurfaced once more on social media in November. Although the two dated nearly two decades ago, many were shocked to find out that they were once an item.

Williams confirmed their dating history and said he has great respect for Harris.
