Kandi Burruss And Fantasia End Friendship Over Wedding Controversy? Singer Reportedly Gives Foul Speech At Ceremony
Kandi Burruss finally had the wedding of her dreams on April 4, after marrying Todd Tucker, but she may have lost a friend in the process. According to reports, Burruss was left in shock after her friend, singer Fantasia, gave an inappropriate speech at the nuptials.
“Kandi was horrified!” a source told the National Enquirer, after Fantasia reportedly cursed and talked about the size of the bride’s buttocks. “She and Fantasia are close, but this may ruin their friendship.
“Fantasia started by saying, ‘Kandi, you are my m-therf--kin’ friend and I love you,’” the source continued.
“Then she called Kandi the ‘realest b-tch I know’ and rambled on about her big butt. Todd was furious, and the other bridesmaids got Fantasia to sit down. Thank goodness! She and Fantasia are close, but this may ruin their friendship.”
Burruss, 37, stunned wedding guests with a custom made $20,000 Reco Chapple gown with a 12-foot train.
“I didn’t know if I was going to be able to pull this all together,” she admits to In Touch about the ceremony, which was organized in just a month. “I couldn’t wait around hoping things would get better. I just had to do it and hope for the best.”
She and Tucker met in 2011 in South Africa, while Burruss was filming scenes for her reality show, “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.” During Season 4, Buruss and her co-stars headed to the country for their annual trip. Tucker was working as a production manager for the company that produces RHOA at the time. Fellow co-star Phaedra Parks noticed Tucker and set the two up.
Meanwhile, throughout the latest season of the reality show, fans have watched as Burruss’ mother, Joyce, showed her dislike for Tucker and accused him of using her daughter so he could further his own career. But she reportedly brought no drama to the ceremony. “Time will tell if Todd gets my blessing, but if Kandi’s happy, then I need to be happy for her,” she told In Touch after the wedding.
