Kanye West seemingly made an appearance at his daughter Chicago's birthday party despite claiming he was banned by estranged wife Kim Kardashian from attending.

On Saturday, the 44-year-old rapper — who now goes by Ye — went live on Instagram from his car, claiming that Kardashian didn’t want him at their daughter’s 4th birthday party.

However, a video shared by Atiana De La Hoya, Travis Barker's daughter, on her Instagram Story seemed to confirm that the Grammy winner was able to make it to Chicago's bash. The clip appeared to briefly show West at the outdoor get-together speaking to Kris Jenner, Us Weekly reported.

An unnamed source also told the outlet that Kardashian was caught off guard by West's claims because it was reportedly the rapper's idea to hold two parties for Chicago that day.

"There were always two parties planned for Chicago, which was Kanye's idea. He was scheduled to celebrate with her at 4 p.m. today," the insider claimed.

The source added: "Kim was shocked to learn that he released a video about not being invited to her party — that's not true and as soon as he asked to come he was given the location. He's at the birthday party."

Earlier that day, West claimed during an Instagram Live that he was unable to attend his daughter's party after Kardashian and her family allegedly refused to share where it was being held.

"Y'all, I was just wishing my daughter a public happy birthday. I wasn't allowed to know where her party was, there's nothing legal that's saying that this is the kind of game that's being played," the Yeezy founder said in a video obtained by TMZ. "It's the kind of thing that really has affected my health for the longest and I'm just not playing. I'm taking control of my narrative this year."

West added that he was "being the best father" he can be and vowed not to "let this happen" before sharing a message for his daughter. "Chicago, happy birthday. I love you and I'm just putting this online because I need y'all's support," he said.

The rapper further claimed that he was banned from the family's festivities after trying to communicate with his estranged wife.

West went on to claim that he also texted their children's nannies and called Tristan Thompson, who allegedly asked Khloe Kardashian where the party was being held. However, the musician claimed that nobody would give him the address.

"That's gonna imprint in her mind that I wasn't there for her," the "Heartless" rapper alleged in his social media message.

West said he "was supposed" to be in Miami, where he was set to record his upcoming album but shifted his schedule to be able to take his kids — North, 8, Saint, 6, Chicago and Psalm, 2, whom she shares with Kardashian — to their schools and be "there for them" in their daily lives.
