Kate Middleton looked radiant in pink this week when she attended her first royal garden party in three years.

The Duchess of Cambridge stepped out for a garden party at Buckingham Palace Wednesday sans her husband, Prince William. The Duke of Cambridge had another outing at the Dedication of the Submariner Memorial at the National Memorial Arboretum, People reported.

For the gathering, Middleton sported a coral ensemble by Emilia Wickstead. She paired it with coordinated heels and a bright pink fascinator that she also wore for Trooping the Colour in 2017.

Although Middleton's husband was not around, she was joined at the garden party by Prince Edward, Sophie, Countess of Wessex and Queen Elizabeth's cousin Princess Alexandra.

Prince Edward looked dapper in his morning suit and top hat, while his wife Sophie opted for a floral printed dress with a whimsical fascinator.

The palace's first garden party of the year was held last week with Prince Charles, his wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall and Princess Anne in attendance. However, unlike the most recent one, the Prince of Wales and his companions had to carry umbrellas as they battled bouts of rain.

Wednesday's royal garden was Middleton's first since 2019. The duchess greeted many of the thousands of guests who were invited to the palace's gardens to recognize their public service by shaking their hands and chatting with them.

Middleton shared snaps from the event on Twitter and expressed her joy over seeing many "familiar faces."

"So lovely to see so many people (including lots of familiar faces!) at today’s garden party," she captioned the snaps. "An opportunity to show our gratitude to individuals and organizations across the country who are going above and beyond, doing fantastic work in their communities."

Royal fans commented on Middleton's post, expressing delight over seeing her at the event. Some even shared snaps of the duchess taken by their family and friends who were present at the event.

"I love the fact that absolutely everyone is taking photos of Catherine," one fan tweeted alongside a photo of Middleton posing as people around her held up cameras to take a shot of her.

"I love how all the people looked so happy to meet the Duchess of Cambridge. What a lovely, beautiful party," another added.

"Lovely pictures. You looked wonderful and impeccably dressed, dear Catherine!" a third person commented.

Garden parties, which have been held at Buckingham Palace since the 1860s as a way for the monarch to recognize public service, were canceled in 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Queen Elizabeth announced earlier that she would not attend the gatherings this year. The 96-year-old monarch has been absent from a number of public outings in recent months amid a series of health setbacks and mobility issues.

Another garden party is set to be held at Buckingham Palace later this month. Another one will be held at the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh, Scotland, on June 29.
