  • A fan accused Khloé Kardashian of looking uninterested as Halle Berry accepted an award at the People's Choice Awards
  • Kardashian denied throwing shade at Berry and asked fans not to "read into anything"
  • This came amid news that Tristan Tristan Thompson allegedly fathered a child with another woman while they were still dating

Khloé Kardashian is responding to claims that she threw shade at Halle Berry during the 2021 People's Choice Awards Tuesday night.

Kardashian, 37, attended the awards show alongside mom Kris Jenner and sister Kim Kardashian amid the news that her ex Tristan Thompson allegedly fathered a child with another woman while they were still dating.

Following the ceremony, one Twitter user accused the Good American co-founder of looking uninterested as Berry, 55, accepted the People’s Icon Award.

"[OK], who saw that 'I don't care' sorta look on @khloekardashian when @halleberry was on stage?" the fan tweeted Tuesday. "Not cool man."

"That's disappointing my face gave that expression. Halle Berry is such a force," Kardashian replied. "Absolutely stunning and beyond talented."

She continued, appearing to reference the ongoing Thompson drama, "[To be honest], I'm barely in my own body right now. Please don't read into anything. Also please don't tear me apart because you assumed something."

Fans of Kardashian came to her defense and sent her messages of love and support.

"Please be nice…I feel so bad for @khloekardashian," one Twitter user wrote. "The things she has to endure. I don’t care how thick-skinned you are or how much you try not to let these comments get to you. She is human. It has got to hurt. I am praying for her strength."

"Love you, Khloé. Sorry you had to read such nasty tweets. I hope you had a wonderful night. Congrats on winning tonight," another fan commented.

"I love you," replied Kardashian. "Thank you for always being so sweet. I am going to log off of Twitter on a positive note. That is your sweet and genuine tweet muah."

Kardashian accepted the People's Choice Award for best reality TV star of 2021, TVLine reported. The nominees included her sister Kim, "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star Lisa Rinna, "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star Kandi Burruss and "Love & Hip Hop Atlanta's" Erica Mena, among others.

"Keeping Up With the Kardashians" also won the award for best reality show 2021. The series, which concluded in June after a record-breaking 20 seasons on E!, beat out "90 Day Fiancé" and "The Bachelor."

Meanwhile, Kardashian stepped out for the awards show less than one week after Thompson, 30, was named in a paternity suit filed by Maralee Nichols. The personal trainer is suing the NBA player for child support and pregnancy-related fees after she said they conceived a child together in March.

While Thompson acknowledged in court documents that he had sex with Nichols, he requested genetic testing. He also recently filed a gag order, asking the judge Tuesday to prevent Nichols from speaking publicly about the case.

Thompson and Kardashian, who share 3-year-old daughter True, ended their relationship in June.

The Sacramento Kings star also shares son Prince, 4, with ex-girlfriend Jordan Craig.
