Kids' Choice Awards 2013: Nominees, Host And Where To Live Stream Nickelodeon’s 26th Annual KCA Show Online
Blimps and slime will be out in full force on Saturday for the 2013 Kids' Choice Awards, where the biggest names in tween land will gather in Los Angeles for Nickelodeon’s annual award show.
Taylor Swift, One Direction and Selena Gomez are expected to attend the Kids' Choice Awards, where the Nickelodeon audience chooses winners in categories ranging from music, to television, to movies, to sports. Josh Duhamel, singer Fergie’s husband and “Safe Haven” actor, will be the host this year.
Nickelodeon said the 2013 Kids' Choice Awards will be seen in more than 350 million households – including, for the first time this year, Russia and Poland -- and will be televised in more than 25 languages. Fans can watch the awards show on Nickelodeon (check your local listings for channel information) or online via live stream here, at Kidschoiceawards2013live.com.
“Good Luck Charlie,” “iCarly,” “Victorious” and “Wizards of Waverly Place” will compete for favorite television show. "The Amazing Spider-Man,” “The Avengers,” “Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days” and “The Hunger Games” are up for favorite movie. In the movie category, Johnny Depp, Andrew Garfield, Zachary Gordon and Will Smith will go head-to-head for favorite actor. Vanessa Hudgens, Scarlett Johansson, Jennifer Lawrence and Kristen Stewart are nominated for favorite actress. On the small screen, Jake T. Austin, Lucas Cruikshank, Ross Lynch and Carlos Pena will duke it out for favorite television actor, and Miranda Cosgrove, Selena Gomez, Victoria Justice and Bridgit Mendler are nominees for favorite television actress. Last year’s favorite music group winner, Big Time Rush, are up for an award again in that category against Bon Jovi, Maroon 5 and fellow boy band One Direction.
"We were lucky enough to win last year and are hopeful for a second blimp this year! Thanks to our fans, who are some of the best in the world. I think we have a good chance,” James Maslow told Life & Style. "It's an honor to be in the same category as one of my all-time favorite bands, Maroon 5.”
Winners in each category will receive Nickelodeon orange blimps. According to Viacom, which owns Nickelodeon, a record number of fans voted for the 2013 Kids' Choice Awards, totaling so far up to 300 million votes globally – nearly half of which are international, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Presenters this year include: Sandra Bullock, Steve Carell, Neil Patrick Harris, Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig, Jaden Smith, Lucy Hale, Kaley Cuoco, Miranda Cosgrove, Big Time Rush, Cory Monteith, Jennette McCurdy, Ariana Grande, Logan Lerman, Ashley Tisdale, Dwight Howard and Gabby Douglas.
