Vanessa Bryant handed divorce papers to her husband of more than 10 years, Lakers MVP Kobe Bryant. Reports claim Vanessa was aware of incidents of infidelity between Kobe and multiple women.

Vanessa supposedly had had enough of the philandering and filed for divorce on Friday Dec. 16. The mother to his two young daughters, 8 and 5, has possession of their $4 million Newport, Cali., mansion and is entitled to half of his $150 million fortune.

TMZ reported that Vanessa's ex-step father is speaking out against the soon-to-be ex-basketball wife, claiming that she was well aware of the money she would receive once the marriage hit the 10-year mark. Stephen Laine was married to Vanessa's mother from 1990 to 2003. Her mother taught her well to wait for the 10-year mark [before divorcing].

In California ... it's considered a long term marriage and then she gets paid for life or until she remarries ... just like her mother is doing to me, he said.

Laine continued, I have to pay her mom $1,800 every month and clearly they don't need it.

But Kobe's philandering is certainly glaring evidence that the Lakers superstar was not husband-of-the-year material. In fact, his track record is quite sordid.

In 2003, Kobe was accused of sexual assault against a 19-year-old Colorado woman. He admitted to adultery but insisted that the encounter was consensual.

The Latina beauty reportedly learned of her husband's most recent extramarital affairs from fellow basketball wives. TMZ reported that Kobe's teammates disclosed the details of his exploits to their wives, who in turn told Kobe's now-estranged wife.

However, the basketball star is supposedly not letting the divorce affect him. Kobe's sole focus right now is the Los Angeles Lakers, and his two daughters. Kobe is excited for the season to finally begin, and he is very excited about the upcoming season, a team insider tells RadarOnline.com exclusively. Kobe is driven, and committed to his team, and anything that is going on in his personal life won't affect him on the court.

A joint statement released by the couple read, The Bryants have resolved all issues incident to their divorce privately with the assistance of counsel and a judgment dissolving their marital status will be entered in 2012.

Sanaa Lathan may be another woman in the Kobe Bryant mix. The Daily News reported that the “Love & Basketball” actress and the NBA star were seen flirting at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on the Tuesday before Vanessa Bryant handed over the divorce papers. “She touched his face, and she was shaking her a-- in front of him to the music,” said the source. “She was throwing her head everywhere. Her hair was like slapping him in the face” and was “whispering in his ear.” The source added, “It seemed like a pretty intimate gesture.” However, Bryant’s spokesman, Michael Sitrick, denied the rumors. “There was no flirting. Katelyn Faber is the name of the 19-year-old hotel employee who had a fling with Bryant in June 2003. She later came forward, claiming that the NBA star had sexually assaulted her. The case was later dropped when Faber refused to testify against the NBA star.
