  • Former EXO member Kris Wu has an estimated net worth of $9 million
  • After leaving the K-pop group, Wu pursued a solo career in music and film
  • Wu is currently facing sexual abuse charges from his alleged former girlfriend

Wu Yi Fan, also known as Kris Wu professionally, is a former member of the world-famous South Korean boy band EXO and its Chinese subgroup EXO-M. Here is how much the Chinese-Canadian star is worth.

Being one of the original members of the boy group in 2012, Wu has made a name for himself in the music industry. But in 2014, Wu nullified his contract with SM Entertainment and left the group to pursue a solo career. The K-Pop star has since accumulated an estimated net worth of $9 million from his various endeavors, including acting, as per Celebrity Net Worth.

In the years following his separation from EXO, Wu found success in the film industry, taking part in various TV shows, including “Happy Camp,” “After School Club,” “Weekly Idol,” “Cool Kiz on the Block” and “Day Day Up.” In the same year that Wu left the boy band, he won a Sohu Fashion Award for Asian Fashion Icon of the Year and a Sina 15th Anniversary Award for Outstanding Youth Award.

Wu started his career in the movie industry in 2015, when he became part of the cast of “Somewhere Only We Know” and “Mr. Six.” The next year, he continued his acting with “The Mermaid,” the top-grossing film of all time in China and 2017 movies “Journey to the West: The Demons Strike Back” and “xXx: Return of Xander Cage,” improving his fame and popularity.

In 2018, Wu released his first album, entitled “Antares,” in partnership with Universal Music Group. The album debuted at No. 100 on the Billboard 200 albums charts, the South China Morning Post reported.

Despite his recent rise in popularity, Wu is now facing sexual abuse allegations, including luring underage girls for sex. Several brands that have endorsement deals with the music artist have decided to cut ties with the star, including luxury car brand Porsche, French beauty brand Lancôme, German brand Tempo and food brand Master Kong, according to the Global Times.

The accusations stemmed from 19-year-old Du Meizhu, who claims to have been Wu’s girlfriend. She alleged that the former EXO member lured her into his home by saying she was getting an audition two years ago. “I became unconscious soon. When I woke up again, I was on Wu’s bed,” Du said in a July 18 interview, as per the New York Post.
