Tyga is focused on his music. The rapper ignored questions about rumored girlfriend Kylie Jenner in a recent interview with Nylon Guys.

When he was asked what it was like to date the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star, he refused to answer and directed attention back to his music. “My focus is making music and being happy with the people I surround myself with. The frustrating part of being an artist is that I can do a whole interview, and all most people are going to see is the headlines. As artists, we should be able to write our own headlines,” he said.

And he certainly didn’t want the headline of his Nylon Guys interview to have anything to do with Jenner. He would have preferred it to read: “Tyga talks about making music for the love and not the money.”

He also seemed to take a swipe at his reality star girlfriend. “Fame is a thing that happens when you do something you love -- nobody wants to be famous for the wrong reasons. It’s not my goal, but if being more famous means I can get more music out, that’s cool,” he said.

The statement itself seems fair enough, but there’s one major flaw with it: The Kardashians and Jenners are notoriously famous just for being famous and a majority of people wouldn’t hesitate to say they’re fame has nothing to do with talent.

Though he wouldn’t talk about Jenner in the interview, whether it’s because of their age gap (she’s 17 and he’s 25) or because he wants to only promote his music, Tyga supports her privately, Hollywood Life wrote. After her father, who was formerly known as Bruce Jenner, revealed she is now a transgender woman, Caitlyn, the rapper stayed by the teen's side.
