Is Lady Gaga ‘Fat’ From All Of That Marijuana Smoking In Amsterdam?
The latest female celebrity to be under some harsh scrutiny for her weight gain is Lady Gaga after sporting a fuller figure during a blazing (literally) performance in Amsterdam where the singer lit up what she claimed was a joint on stage.
In a video from the concert in Amsterdam’s Ziggo Dome on Monday, a member of the crowd handed the 26-year-old Mother Monster a wrapped cigarette. "Holland, is it real? Don't tease me," Gaga said. "Oh, it's real,” she said after the examination and then took a few puffs on the joint. However, according to the singer, the few drags were not nearly enough to get her “high.”
"I will one day be meeting with the president, and talking to Oprah in the next day. I will be talking to you about the medical wonders of marijuana," Gaga said later in the show, documented in a fan video.
It comes as no surprise that Gaga is touting her love for pot after recently telling The Sun it has helped kick her drinking habit and boosted her creativity.
“I want you to know it has totally changed my life and I’ve really cut down on drinking,” the “Born This Way” singer told the Sun. "It has been a totally spiritual experience for me with my music. It’s like saying everybody needs to take a breath and it’s going to be OK.'
As if that wasn’t enough to get people talking, the next stop on her “Born This Way” tour made the marijuana smoking incident yesterday’s news, when Gaga appeared on stage in Holland Tuesday sporting some massive weight gain. As seen in photos posted on The Daily Mail, Gaga showed her new curves and fuller face in a corset resembling the meat dress and fishnet tights. She later switched into high-waisted chino pants and a crop top, showing off her less-than-toned stomach.
While it is certain that Gaga has put on some weight, one nutritionist, Majid Ali, told Radar Online that she “appears to have gained at least 30 pounds.”
But just last month, Lady Gaga was reportedly switching to a gluten-free diet for the last leg of her tour.
“Gaga has decided to go on a major body blitz and cut out all gluten and wheat from her diet … to drop 10 pounds in a month,” a source told Sky News. “She has given her people strict instruction to advise staff at venues and restaurants about her new diet because she is taking it very seriously.”
