Lamar Odom Update: Khloé Kardashian Breaks Down As Family ‘Praying For A Miracle’ Amid Organ Failure, Cocaine Use Reports
Lamar Odom's ex-partner, Khloé Kardashian, broke down as the former Los Angeles Lakers star remained in a critical condition, according to reports. Family members are reportedly "praying for a miracle" as his "kidney’s are failing" and his "lungs have collapsed," Radar Online reported.
Reports surfaced Wednesday that Odom took cocaine and as many as 10 sexual-performance pills. He used cocaine days before he was found unconscious Tuesday at Love Ranch South, a legal brothel west of Las Vegas, TMZ reported, citing a source from the brothel, adding that its “distinctly possible” that the 35-year-old will be prosecuted if its confirmed he was taking cocaine. Odom reportedly suffered brain damage and at least one stroke after being admitted to the hospital, according to reports.
Khloé reportedly met Odom's father, Joe, at the Las Vegas hospital. “Khloé lost it and immediately broke down in tears instantly upon seeing Joe [Odom]. She hugged him and fell into his arms. All he could do was hug her as he trembled and cried himself. It was very emotional, especially for Joe,” a source told Hollywood Life. “Doctors have been briefing Joe and telling him exactly what’s going on with Lamar and he’s trying to deal with how serious this is. It’s just awful.”
Joe, who recently mended his broken relationship with Odom, has claimed that somebody may have drugged his son. The 35-year-old was found unconscious and bleeding from the mouth and nose at Love Ranch South in Pahrump, Nevada, Tuesday. Four of his organs were failing and he had a 50-50 shot at survival, TMZ reported.
The Kardashians are “pretty sure this is goodbye, but they're praying for a miracle," a source close to the family told People magazine. "They know that God has the power to heal him, but that's really the last hope at this point. This is really bad."
Khloé and Odom signed divorce papers in July but a judgment has not yet been given out by the court, leaving the reality star in charge of his medical care, according to People magazine.
"He never signed a living will, so Khloé is making decisions for him," the source reportedly said, adding it's "very stressful. She is lost."
Meanwhile, Khloé's brother Rob Kardashian broke his silence over Odom's condition by posting a photo of them together on Instagram.
