  • Rockstar Games has not yet confirmed that "GTA 6" is in development
  • Insiders claim the game might have an evolving map
  • They also revealed the release window of "GTA 6"

Several rumors and reports, quoting reliable industry insiders, have been claiming for a while the unannounced "Grand Theft Auto 6" (GTA 6) will release in a few years. Now, new leaks have offered a definitive release window and some details about the game's development update.

Industry insider Tom Henderson recently released a video stating "GTA 6" would release sometime in the year 2024 or 2025. Bloomberg's Jason Schreier also noted, "Everything Tom Henderson has said about the game matches up with what I’ve heard."

Last year, Schreier wrote for Kotaku that the unannounced game was Rockstar Games' next title, but added in a tweet it was "still a ways away."

In a recent tweet, Schreier stressed his previous comments, suggesting the sequel could release in 2023, were made "before we entered a pandemic that still hasn’t stopped." Popular games news website Video Game Chronicle's Andy Robinson also supported Henderson's recent claim on the release window of "GTA 6." In a recent report, he noted, "This also matches what VGC has heard about the next GTA game from its own sources."

In another tweet, Schreier responded to a follower who asked if he is "validating the 'everything' of his other 'leaks' as well or just the release window? There's been a lot more to chew on recently than just the date." The Bloomberg journalist said, "I dunno I haven't seen everything but it's still early in development, it has an evolving/expanding map (which I also reported last year), etc."

This response further aligns with Henderson's claim in a recent video about the game being in the early stage of development and will feature an evolving map. Henderson and Schreier are reliable industry insiders who have leaked information about video games ahead of their official announcement. It is worth noting, however, despite the avalanche of leaks and rumors surrounding "GTA 6," Rockstar Games has not yet said anything about it.

Technically, "GTA 6" is non-existent since Rockstar Games has not yet confirmed that the rumored sequel is in the works. Fans are advised to temper their expectations since at this stage leaks are highly speculative.
