NBA legend LeBron James and musician Taylor Swift have been named as two of the most influential celebrities in the 2020 U.S. presidential election by a new survey.

The survey, conducted by Whitman Insight Strategies and MRC Data in partnership with DISQO, polled 1,103 likely voters and found that almost 12% of the American voters were influenced by a celebrity or an athlete while choosing a candidate to vote, per The Hollywood Reporter. Their influence goes even higher among Black voters (28%), Hispanic/Latino voters (20 percent), LGBTQ (17 percent), Gen Z, and the Millennials (both 17 percent).

Out of all the people polled in the survey, 36% admitted that James motivated them to vote in the upcoming election. Meanwhile, the “Folklore” hitmaker came next with 13% of the total votes.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson (9%) and talk show host Oprah Winfrey (6%) claimed the third and fourth positions, respectively.

Similarly, Tom Hanks nabbed the numero uno position on the list of celebrities whose opinion mattered the most regarding political or social issues in the country. Hanks garnered 49% of the votes and was followed closely by Johnson with 45%.

Winfrey came in third with 38% of the votes while James was fourth with 35%.

The iconic Basketball player received the highest percentage of votes among Black voters, according to the media outlet. With 67% of the votes, James eclipsed Winfrey (55%), Colin Kaepernick (54%), and singer John Legend (53%) on the list of most influential people.

Among Gen Z voters, Emmy-winning actress Zendaya garnered the highest percentage of votes (59%), and she was followed by Beyonce (56%), Johnson (51%), James (43%), Winfrey (40%), and Legend (40%).

Lady Gaga was the most influential celebrity for the LGBTQ+ community (45%), and she was followed by Winfrey, Johnson, and Beyonce.

The survey also asked the voters to share the names of the celebrities or athletes whose opinion on the election they trust the most.

The poll revealed that Winfrey (55%), Hanks (53%), Johnson (47%), and James (43%) were the top choices for the Democratic voters. On the other hand, celebrities such as Kid Rock (46%), Ted Nugent (43%) were at the top for the Republicans.

James, Swift, Johnson, Hanks, and Winfrey have endorsed Joe Biden and Kamala Harris amid the 2020 race.

The 2020 U.S. presidential election is set to take place on Nov. 3.
