Looking to repeat their dominant performance against Swansea, Liverpool will meet Wigan Saturday at DW Stadium.

The Reds fired off two penalties and Philippe Coutinho made his Liverpool debut with a goal in a 5-0 drubbing of the Swans last month in Premier League play.

Luis Saurez also netted his club-leading 18th goal of the season.

With such a dashing premiere, the 20-year-old Coutinho proved he was worth the £8.5 million transfer fee to Inter Milan.

Though the Reds find themselves in no man’s land on the table, they are doing far better than the barely-holding-on Wigan.

Thanks to goal differential the Latics are currently out of relegation, and more victories like their 3-0 domination of Reading should help them stay that way.

Arouna Kone’s two goals in the 44th and extra time of the first half, put Wigan up for good, and Maynor Figueroa piled on with a goal in the 48th. Kone now leads the Latics with eight goals this season.
