It has been a historic season for Liverpool as they ended their 30-year first league title drought by capturing this year’s Premier League title. Despite the significant victory, the club is still aiming to dominate and pile up win after win. In terms of individual accomplishments, Mohamed Salah is also in a position to win this year’s Golden Boot.

The main adversary for the prestigious individual award is Leicester City’s star, Jamie Vardy. The marksman leads all scorers with 22 goals. The 33-year-old striker has been on top form this season as he continues to prove to everyone that he is a prolific star. With an array of elite dribbling skills and crafty movement on the field, Vardy has led Leicester City as their reliable offensive star.

But with the dominance of Liverpool as of late, it seems that Salah is determined to climb on top of the scoring standings. The two-time English Champion currently has 19 goals this season and is behind Arsenal forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Per Goal.com, Jurgen Klopp shared that the improved performance of his team can be attributed to the consistent play of Salah. The veteran manager noted that Salah has been more motivated than ever due to the close race in the Golden Boot. This was reinforced by how Salah himself with how incredible he has been for Liverpool.

"I think I have good numbers since I came here,” Salah said.

"Let's go for the next one," Salah continued.

The desire to relentlessly score is something Klopp understands, as it doesn’t surprise him of how dominant his star player has been performing.

"He's a striker, how can it not be a motivation for him? That's clear," Klopp shared.

The dominance of Salah is all over the record books, as he became the fastest player in Liverpool history to reach 100 goal involvements in a record of only 104 appearances.

"In the end, you can only score goals when you perform well and he did that so that was really good and apart from that it's all fine,” Klopp continued.

While finishing as the best is important, Salah understands how success shouldn’t be rushed.

"Let's take it game by game," Salah said.

The team’s culture and mindset helped propel them into their triumphs this year and a major part of this contribution can be credited to Salah’s offensive brilliance.
