‘Love & Hip Hop: New York’ Star MariahLynn Engaged? Rapper Responds To Rumor

“Love & Hip Hop: New York” star MariahLynn had a hilarious response to reports that she’s engaged to a mystery man. The VH1 reality star and rapper dismissed the rumor by jokingly telling fans she recently got engaged to her castmate, DJ Self.

Posting a screenshot of the engagement article, which originated on Media Take Out, on Instagram, MariahLynn wrote, “I guess the cat is out the bag, @djself of course the answer was yes!” On Twitter, she retweeted a message from a fan saying they didn’t want to read the Media Take Out story, adding, “Why would you want to read lies?”

The gossip blog stated that the rapper got engaged last weekend but wouldn’t reveal any information about her alleged fiancé. Media Take Out cited a “snitch” as saying that the man is an up-and-coming African-American rapper.

On Season 6 of “Love & Hip Hop: New York,” which wraps Monday with the second part of the finale, MariahLynn’s love life, and resulting drama, has often been front and center. As previously reported, Mariah showed interest in her cast member Cisco Rosado, but admitted that she had previously dated another co-star, Rich Dollaz.

Mariah and Cisco’s brief romance went downhill fast when he found out she was still trying to get close to Rich behind his back. Cisco ended things with Mariah, telling her the only reason he dated her was so he could get back at Rich Dollaz for sleeping with his ex, Diamond Strawberry. Rich and Diamond hooked up a few times on Season 5 of the show, shortly after she split from Cisco.

As recapped, during last week’s part one of the reunion, Mariah and Rich got into an argument when he tried to downplay their relationship. Mariah tried to prove that their relationship was serious by shockingly revealing to the cast that Rich had gotten her pregnant but she decided not to keep the baby.
