“The Mandalorian” is the first live-action TV series from the “Star Wars” franchise. While there is no confirmation that Boba Fett from the original trilogy will be featured on the show, the fans will get to meet a new gunfighter played by Pedro Pascal.

“Iron Man” actor and director Jon Favreau is the creator of the new TV series. With his new film “The Lion King” released, the focus should now shift to “The Mandalorian” TV series.

Favreau spoke about the new show in a recent interview with “ Jimmy Kimmel Live.” The producer teased some details about the plot of the TV series, which is set right after the fall of the Empire.

With the Empire gone, “all hell’s breaking loose” in the timeline of “The Mandalorian,” Favreau teased. The lone gunfighter, who is the protagonist of the show, will be seen operating in the Outer Rim.

Favreau said that the show will be focused on the “scum and villainy” of the “Star Wars” galaxy. The producer pointed out that once the rule of law is taken out chaos takes over. Many of the “unseemly characters” will be running free in “The Mandalorian.”

The world of the TV series appears to take the fans back to the original trilogy. This is a time when Han Solo (Harrison Ford) is a young pilot who is navigating the world filled with scoundrels and bounty hunters.

Favreau said that he is a fan of the world seen in “Empire Strikes Back,” and he personally wanted to see more of that world. He described the writing process of the show to playing with all his “Star Wars” toys.

Disney appears to be betting big on the new live-action TV series. Each episode of the show is estimated to cost around $15 million, IGN reported.

Filming of the new show was also done in a different way. Favreu told Collider previously that they used the Epic game engine to do real-time in-camera visual effects while filming.

“The Mandalorian” is set to be released on Nov. 12. The TV series will be available on the Disney+ streaming service, which is also launching on the same day.
