Masters Of Sex
Bill and Virginia take on new partners professionally in “Masters Of Sex” Season 4, episode 2. Showtime

Masters Of Sexpremiered Season 4 last week. The Showtime series depicted Dr. William “Bill” Masters at the lowest point in his personal and professional life. Barely holding on to his practice, the once arrogant obstetrician met fellow sex researcher Virginia Johnson at Hugh Hefner’s playboy mansion. There, they agreed to share office space but separate their practices.

Episode 2 kicks off right where episode 1 left off with Bill (Michael Sheen) and Virginia (Lizzy Caplan) returning to the Masters and Johnson clinic. Caplan’s character will be shocked to learn that her former sex research partner has recruited a new doctor to help him with patients – Dr. Nancy (Betty Gilpin). Of course, Virginia will hit back and hire another partner to help her too.

It will be fun to watch Bill and Virginia with separate work partners in “Masters Of Sex” Season 4, episode 2.

The official synopsis on Showtime states that Masters and Johnson will focus on expanding their clinic, getting back to work and adjusting with their new professional partners. They will try to put their past behind them.

Meanwhile, Libby (Caitlin Fitzgerald) will reevaluate her relationship with her soon-to-be former husband and his ex-lover now that their love triangle is, essentially, broken.

Bill will continue participating in his Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) meetings. A sneak peek video of Season 4, episode 2 shows Sheen’s character informing his wife that he is going to court-mandated AA meetings. He also sincerely apologizes to her.

Another sneak peek video shows Virginia caught off-guard when she meets Dr. Nancy. The video, released by Showtime, reveals that the new doctor interned with Dr. Barton Scully (Beau Bridges) and he recommended her to Dr. Masters.

Furthermore, the Donnelley’s are back. Mrs. Donnelley is upset that her husband loves shoes more than her.

“Masters Of Sex” Season 4, episode 2 premieres on Sunday, Sept. 18 at 10 p.m. EDT on Showtime.
