After Matt Lauer was fired from NBC over sexual harassment allegations, the anchor shifted his focus to his family. The journalist and his wife, Annette Roque, have remained relatively quiet since his termination, but a new report alleges that the couple may be headed for divorce.

Since Lauer has been accused of inappropriate sexual behavior during his time at the network, both he and Roque have been spotted without their wedding rings. The anchor, whose termination was announced on Nov. 29, has continued to keep a low profile by staying close to his home in the Hamptons.

However, laying low may become difficult, seeing as a source told Page Six that Roque has forced Lauer to leave the Hamptons home he shares with her and their children.

Although reps for the anchor and Dutch model have yet to confirm whether the couple has legally separated, insiders believe a divorce is imminent.

Despite being kicked out of his home, Lauer is staying nearby so he can continue to have a relationship with his children.

The journalist owns several properties in New York, including a home in Sag Harbor, a 40-acre horse farm in Water Mill and a $36 million compound in North Haven.

Lauer and Roque, who have been together for nearly 20 years, have reportedly been living separate lives for a decade. When Lauer was still employed by NBC, he spent the week living in the family’s Park Avenue apartment, while Roque tended to the children at their Long Island estate.

The model first filed for divorce in 2006, citing anxiety, humiliation, torment and other forms of abuse. However, she withdrew her petition three weeks later, after the anchor reportedly offered her a postnuptial agreement and more money.

In December 2016, a source told People that Lauer “is fighting to save the marriage. He doesn’t want a divorce. Both of them, their first thought is their children.”

However, Roque was upset when she first heard about her husband’s alleged affairs and removed her wedding ring. A source told the media outlet the model was “angry, so she took off her ring. She wanted him to take off his ring, too.”

Sources told Page Six that Lauer is continuing to fight for his marriage even though the model “is being very cold.”
