  • Prince Harry and Meghan Markle relocated to Los Angeles
  • The royal couple's decision was questioned by critics
  • Royal fans don't know how the royal couple can protect Archie in the United States

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry just moved to Los Angeles after quitting the royal family in January.

After announcing their bombshell exit, the royal couple temporarily rented a property in Canada. But amid the coronavirus lockdown, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex decided that it was better for them to stay in the United States instead.

However, their decision did not sit well with some royal fans who recalled that protecting their son Archie was one of Prince Harry and Markle’s motivations to quit the royal family. On Twitter, some netizens wondered how the Sussexes can protect Archie in the United States when there are paparazzi there.

“I sincerely don’t understand them. Really,” one person tweeted.

“They want to ‘protect their family’ by moving to LA? ” another person commented.

“Where the privacy laws are not as strict so that the paparazzi will be all over them and Harry will get all the flashbacks again because of the ‘clicks of the cameras?’” a third person said.

“Harry & Meghan coming to LA during the pandemic makes sense to me: Nobody protects the wealthy and privileged like America. #HarryandMeghan,” Twitter user @mrchristian said.

Some royal fans claimed that Prince Harry and Markle must have decided to leave Canada after the government confirmed that they will no longer provide security service for the royal couple.

“Canada only has the obligation to protect visiting dignitaries. They fulfilled that obligation and even extended their generosity to Prince Harry and Meghan. Canadians did not want to continue these outrageous security costs to protect the ex-royals. That why they moved to LA!” Twitter user @braun_fay52 said.

Some netizens also questioned Prince Harry and Markle’s dedication to the Commonwealth.

“And how about their work for the Commonwealth? Please,” the royal fan said.

“Shaking my head… some dedication to the Commonwealth,” another person said.
