Melania Trump, who is one of the most powerful women in the world today, has become a favorite subject of hate and backlash since she moved to the White House. Despite all the made-up reports about him and criticisms that she has been receiving since she assumed the role of FLOTUS from Michelle Obama, the former model has remained cool and continued to just laugh everything off.

Recently, Melania was mocked anew after a wooden statue of President Donald Trump, which stood in a village in the FLOTUS’s home country, was burned to the ground on Thursday. Firefighters tried their best to turn off the fire immediately but they were unsuccessful to do so.

Moravce Mayor Milan Balazic revealed that unknown arsonists burned the nearly eight-meter high statue and called it a crime against art. “[The burning of the statue] is a symbol of intolerance toward artistic projects in our society,” Milan said.

While authorities are still investigating the case, netizens were quick to express their reactions about the torched statue on social media. Some critics even took the opportunity to make fun of Melania Trump and President Donald Trump.

“It was Melania’s cousin trying to get an Einstein visa from the Trump admin,” one netizen wrote on Twitter. “Does this portray Trump burning in hell?” Walter Murzin said. “Heres hoping just like his presidency #TrumpIsADisgrace #TrumpIsANationalSecurityThreat #ImpeachAndRemoveTrump,” L.A. Menzies stated. “Now if we can do same with original,” Levan Ivanidze added.

“#HOTUS's relatives did it! #IMPOTUS45 #Boywhocriedwolf #LaughingstockOfTheWorld #GOPComplicitTraitors #DefendourDemocracy #Cult45 #AMJoy,” another Twitter user penned. "sure she is heartbroken.. she still gets everything she wants.. thats why she married him.. certainly wasnt for his good looks or charm," Bo Wilson stated.

There were also some who took the matter seriously. “Have to laugh .. at some ppl commenting on this.. you do realize it was.. statue MOCKING him.. & they BURNED.. it down.. which means.. they SUPPORT Trump.. comprehension comes in handy.. when reading story.. and reporting it..” Papa Georgio stated. “It conveys a fairly accurate perception of Trump abroad, and by implication, the US. Sad. The US has a PR problem abroad. I honestly wish it didn't but the Trump presidency is a disaster,” Carl Juneau shared. Melania Trump has yet to comment on the harsh remarks.

Meanwhile, Tomaz Schlegl, previously, revealed to Reuters that he created the wooden statue to remind people what the Statue of Liberty stands for. The artist said he wanted to warn people about the rise of populism in recent times, before adding that Melania Trump’s husband is the biggest populist today.

“Like all populists, the statue has two faces,” Tomaz said in a separate interview, according to The Associated Press. “One is humane and nice, the other is that of a vampire," he continued.
