Melania Trump was slammed by some Twitter users for mourning while her husband Donald Trump played golf.

On Sunday (May 24), Melania took to Twitter to let the world know that they are mourning every life lost to the coronavirus.

“We mourn every life lost to #COVID19. We will pray for their families & loved ones on this somber day, & always,” the First Lady wrote.

However, her post was met with criticisms. Many slammed the FLOTUS because while she shared the post, her husband was spotted playing golf.

“What a useless@FLOTUS Melania is!!! Total loss to this country!!!” one commented.

“They’re dead because of your husband’s incompetence and not only do neither of you not care, he’s [explicit] golfing again today as we hit the 100,000 mark. You are utter failures and disgraces to this country, and your #BeBest ‘program’ is a sham,” @AmoneyResists added.

Several also called the First Lady a “wretch” due to her controversial “I really don’t care do u” jacket. Another didn’t believe Melania and said that the first family lacks empathy.

Apart from the backlash, many also extended their support for Melania and her family. In fact, they wanted the Trumps to stay in the White House for four more years.

“Thank you Melania. Your beautiful words mean so much to the American people. You are such a wonderful example of a caring graceful Christian woman. The best FLOTUS in history. I wish you another great 4 years in office,” @Americans_1st_ opined.

“Flotus2020,” @beh1007 wrote.

“Thank Flotus for everything you do,” @cypress_mills commented.

“There is no one that cares more than our President,” another added.

This isn’t the first time Twitter users expressed mixed reactions to the FLOTUS’ online posts. Last week, Melania was called “irrelevant” after she asked for support for the vulnerable children and their families.

However, her supporters also rallied to defend her from the critics. They expressed their love and gratitude to Melania for doing her part amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
