Melania Trump’s dad, Viktor Knavs, reportedly organized a secret baptism for the FLOTUS shortly after her birth in Slovenia.

At that time, Slovenia was a Communist and atheist country, which means that religion of any kind was forbidden. But since Knavs was a member of the League of Communists of Slovenia, he was able to arrange the first lady’s baptism.

In the book “Inside Trump’s White House,” author Doug Wead revealed that after Jacqueline Kennedy, Donald Trump’s wife is the second first lady in American history to practice the Catholic faith. However, a slow of presidential daughters were baptized as Roman Catholic.

Meanwhile, Wead said that Melania became prepared for her life as the FLOTUS because of her experiences growing up in a totalitarian state.

“Life in a totalitarian state, where neighbor often spied on a neighbor, and each block had its own political monitor, may have prepared Melania for the vicious political and media attacks that have become her way as the first lady. They also gave her a perspective on America that no other first lady has ever had,” he said.

The FLOTUS also made headlines this week after she visited a children’s hospital on Valentine’s Day. On her Twitter account, the FLOTUS said that it has been her tradition to interact with sick children on Feb. 14.

However, the first lady was mocked for seemingly suggesting that her presence alone inspires the sick youth. Melania’s communications director, Stephanie Grisham, tweeted about Trump’s wife’s engagement.

“@FLOTUS just returned from a visit to @TheChildrensInn at @NIH this morning. A tradition she’s enjoyed for 3 years, sharing love and kindness with many strong children and inspiring patients! Happy #ValentinesDay #BeBest,” she wrote.

Shortly after, the first lady was lambasted on social media.

“The porn model trophy wife has no love or kindness to share with anyone. Just like the two-time convicted DUI press secretary has no press conferences to hold. Trump regime is a sham,” Twitter user @murdochtamara1 said.

“What about the separated, caged, raped, sexually abused children at our Southern border? What about cutting vitally needed health insurance and programs for children in the USA? She doesn’t care, does she?” Twitter user @HelenArmstrong5 said.
